GROWS — Urban garden centre

Client: College assignment Year: 2014 Involvement: Designer The brief: A complete identity package, including name, for a boutique garden centre selling exotic plants to the urban gardener.

Branding for city garden centre
I conceived the name 'Grows' and the strapline 'the way of plants' to reflect the owner’s ambition to introduce the joy of gardening to city dwellers, both novices and seasoned gardeners. There is no need to be an expert to make plants grow, it's in their nature.

Brand identity
The brandmark is elegant but playful, designed to appeal both to novices and seasoned gardeners. To showcase the plants in the shop I developed a muted colour scheme influenced both by natural organic hues and the urban landscape of concrete.
